HAS A BLOGGER EVER MADE YOU ANGRY/APPLE CIDER FLOAT

The first time it occurred, I sort of ignored it as a fluke. It's never happened to me thank goodness, but lately, it seems as if there are more fights than usual among the blogging societies.  Many of the disagreements are politically or racially motivated, but quite a few are happening in the entertainment, beauty or book world.

There are literally millions of blogs in the world.  Some are small, others are quite well known, and a few make tons of money.

So if you visit plenty of blogs, at some point, you're going to end up running into some of the same people. Knowing that, I'm very surprised that one blogger would publicly bash another.  This includes complaining about how a blogger writes a review, how she's putting on eyeliner incorrectly, is a horrible person because of her political views, or that he or she is fat and needs to lose weight.
I also once saw a post that copied almost verbatim from another blog!  What in the heck?!

Someone is going to see that post that you know, or even worse, you may see it yourself! This causes tears of hurt, or a lot of back and forth cursing throughout a blog between people. As I scroll through those posts, I end up feeling embarrassed and sad.  I just don't get it.

As bloggers, we love being stalked because of what we write about. But while flaming wars may be interesting to some, visiting someone on their blog for the purpose of verbal attacks, or using your own blog to bash another blog just seems mean-spirited to me.

We may not always agree with a point of view, but kindness is key.

Are you already tired of pumpkins and want to try a new treat?  This recipes screams Fall, and is super simple to prepare.

APPLE CIDER FLOAT

INGREDIENTS
Vanilla Ice Cream
Caramel Sauce
Sparkling Cider
Pinch of Salt

DIRECTIONS
Place 1 scoop of ice cream in the bottom of a chilled glass.  Pour in 6 ounces of sparkling cider, and top with another scoop of ice cream.  Add a pinch of salt to the caramel sauce, then drizzle as much as you like over the top.  Yum - you've made just enough for you to enjoy during a movie or while reading your favorite novel.

If you really want to be decadent, go ahead and add a shot of whiskey!

SIDE GIG SECRET
Unless you actually work for Uber, which launched in 2009, no one really knows how much the drivers earn per month.  But I've got the scoop. This side hustle may not allow you to quit your day job in most instances because on average, the salary per month is about $364.00. Also, Uber takes a 20% cut. A few score about $1000 per month, but according to Earnest Operations, almost 1/2 earn less than $100!

  1. I usually miss out on the drama, which is a very good thing. And I don't think I'll ever 'get used to' people wanting to diss others, Ro. It just makes me both sad and mad. It's so much easier and nicer to be positive! {{{HUGS}}}

    1. I'm with you, Lovely Lexxie. There's just no reason for people to be mean, and then to ruin someone's reputation on line?! That can never be erased. I agree on just being positive too. Happy Sunday!

  2. Thankfully I haven't seen a lot of that. I try not to post things that can lead to a lot of drama but it does happen. I have years ago posted things of a personal nature when a family member was stalking me and I'd just had enough and there was a little drama with that. But thankfully all my blogger buddies have been nice and no one has caused drama on my blog that I can remember.

  4. I'm grateful that I haven't dealt with this and I havent seen this with the mojority of the blogs I follow. It's pretty sad how other people feel it's their right to hurt another person. I think we should have our right to our opinions as long as we do it respectfully. .. just because someone doesn't agree with you, shouldn't mean we have the right to bash each other xox ♡

    1. Yes, that's what I don't understand either Launna. The mean statements and comments to other people don't make sense to me.

  5. I typically miss out on drama as well which is definitely a relief. I tend to stay away from politics or anything particularly controversial though I do that in real life as well as blog life! I've had a few negative comments and see a few but luckily nothing that's gone further than that!

  6. Wow! Yeah, that makes no sense to me either to post up snotty stuff about another blogger or anyone really. Even if one have a legit beef with them, airing it before others is just plain wrong and non-productive (unless one's purpose is to be a troublemaker, I suppose).

    1. I agree, Sophia. If there is some type of disagreement, it's better to try to resolve it personally rather in the blog world. Just a bunch of hurt feelings and unnecessary cruelty. Hugs...

  7. i think being judgmental is quite different than opposing you opinion on others or hurt anyone's feeling ,it is sin and a crime to me .
Blogging is way for self expression through sharing not place for personal attacks

  9. no reader had ever made me angry but a few have left comments that I don't understand/left me in confusion but nothing to fuss over.

it's really sad how us as a society uses our words to bully people, it's enough that we get that in schools and on the streets but online? if I ever get anything remotely obnoxious, I would ignore it. isn't the only way to avoid these people is to ignore them?

    anyway, have a lovely day.

    1. Nothing has happened on this blog, but when I guest blog somewhere else, I've been verbally attacked if the discussion is about abuse. I just run with it, I guess. I've seen some blogs that really get down and dirty with each though, which is crazy! Bullying is really the pits. I agree that ignoring is the best option. Hugs...

  10. I'm totally serious when I say there was a rude commenter I could NOT get to go away. She wasn't a follower, so I couldn't block her and I never read her blog. She just came back to comment every day with her snarky comments. Finally, she went away, but it took at least two or three years!

  11. I've had a few very petty things said in my direction and some passive aggressive stuff. It's obnoxious. I think the only times I've been truly angry was when bloggers have tried to swipe things I do on my blog and act like they're their own. Meh.

  13. I've been trolled by fans of an author who didn't like that I posted a 2 or 3 star review of a book once. That was not fun. I chose to ignore instead of responding so that it didn't blow up.

    1. Every time I hear about like that, it makes me scratch my head. Is it really that serious, when we look at the scheme of life that someone would stalk over a less than perfect review? Crazy! Sounds like you handled it the best way, and not responding, but I can imagine you were pulling your hair out at the time. Hugs...RO

  14. I try to not get into such subjects as politics and religion, but once I said something about owning a gun. I thought I would catch flack from some of my very, very liberal friends, but they understood and didn't divorce me (grin).

Recently I wrote about the racial problems that occurred in the south. I added that I may not like or even respect their opinions, but since I am from the U.S., I have to allow their opinions, as long as it doesn't infringe on, or hurt others. For some reason, I don't seem to get flack for what I write, although I absolutely detest bullies, hate mongers, and wife beaters.

I read somewhere that Uber drivers pay for their own insurance and background checks. It seems to me, there is a better way to have a side gig. I bet some Avon "ladies" make better money than that!

    1. I tend to stay away from those topics too, Elizabeth, because some people get really upset and verbally abusive. It's good that you don't get badgered for what you write. I think it may be more profitable to go with Avon too! (lol) Hugs...RO

  17. Kind of, sort of. Most people know not to say more than they should especially on another person's blog.

The biggest thing that kind of upset was with a guy who lived in Serbia.

He would constantly badmouth everyone from America (all presidents, culture, etc.) and even from the UK as well. He called Queen Victoria a tyrant, though she had no real power as she was the last from the House of Hanover and the first of that dynasty gave up virtually all of their powers.

But he called the assassin (a Serb) who started World War I a hero...

He runs a blog about Hollywood movies...

all of that didn't really bother me enough, but he one days stopped commenting on mine and gave me the blacklisted treatment. We had known each other for at least 2 or 3 years.

  18. Somehow I only know nice people via my blog. Any personal insult to anyone on my blog will be deleted and I have done this, but rarely. I have a higher tolerance if it is directed at me, but some go too far and I delete as well. Disagree by all means, but do so politely.

  19. Hello Ro, I really dislike conflict of any sort, so I hope to never be involved in anything like that. It must be horribly distressing for the person under attack. What a sad world it is when some people only get pleasure from hurting others.

  20. I've been seeing the cattiness with bloggers lately, hating on each other. That's why I keep my bloggers friends small. I think some bloggers get upset seeing their peers being more successful than them. Just sad. 😔

    1. There are so many blogs out there, and there's enough topics for us all to talk about or do to go around. Some people are going to be more successful than others, but not only am I happy for those people, but I also take it as an opportunity to learn, and make a new friend. I agree that it's sad that people resort to being jealous or acting in a mean-spirited way. HUGE Hugs...RO

  21. I was diagnosed as HEPATITIS B carrier in 2013 with fibrosis of the
liver already present. I started on antiviral medications which
reduced the viral load initially. After a couple of years the virus
became resistant. I started on HEPATITIS B Herbal treatment from
ULTIMATE LIFE CLINIC (www.ultimatelifeclinic.com) in March, 2020. Their
treatment totally reversed the virus. I did another blood test after
the 6 months long treatment and tested negative to the virus. Amazing
treatment! This treatment is a breakthrough for all HBV carriers.
