LUXURIOUS HOME LIBRARIES & FREEBIES

I have way too many books and not enough bookcases to hold them, so I'm always coming up with creative ways to display them.  The rest of the time, I'm dreaming about the perfect showcase for my books.

Do you have enough space for all your treasures, or do you sort of place things wherever they fall?

Have you been thinking about building something unique for all your novels?

    1. Joy, your bookcases look like they came out of a Home & Beautiful magazine, already! (lol)

  2. Oh man, don't those bookshelves just make you drool? I've always wanted a wall to wall, floor to ceiling bookshelf. We've got six bookcases and they're not enough.
Great freebies, Ro! Glad the nursing community is being acknowledged.

    1. I don't know what's wrong with me that I missed this! (lol) So sorry! I know, right? Whatever we have in the house just never seems to be enough because we keep adding to the never ending pile. I just need one gigantic room for books that's about 1500 square feet, at least! (lol) Hugs...

  3. Those bookshelves just make my mouth water! I don't have nearly enough bookshelves. I used to keep my extra books crammed under my bed and in empty spaces but since I discovered I had a pretty severe dust mite allergy I had to pack them up in plastic bins. My allergies are way better but I miss having my books around! I do have a few plans to add lots more bookshelves but like everything else it takes more time than I have right now.

    1. I wish I could have one HUGE room designated just to books, with enough cases to hold them. Like you, they end up in places they probably shouldn't be at my place. Of course, we can't wait to see pics of your new bookshelves. Hugs...

  5. I wish I had more room for bigger bookshelves. But I like the corner ones that hang on the wall. Doesn't take up floor space.

    1. I agree, Mary. Those corner ones really would work well in smaller rooms, but I still dream about something that is totally over the top for all the books that are overtaking the house. (lol) Hugs...

  6. my books are scattered about and I sort of give up the books I know I'll never read again, I certainly have no space for them. I wouldn't mind having a house for all my favorite books and that includes places to hide/read, you could never have enough places for reading.

    have a lovely day.

    1. No!!! I can't give up my books unless I have duplicates, Lissa. (lol) I'm with you a special place dedicated to just reading where we can just get away would be amazing! Hugs...

  7. Love them all!!! But, then I love books and I'd stack them to the ceiling if I had to :) BTW...in case you didn't know, I am NOT a minimalist :)

  8. It is so good to have books, I would love my own library room!
I don't do too badly and have some shelves that my books can sit on.
I do re-cycle my books far more than I used to, a win situation because if I donate a few I can then choose a few!

    All the best Jan

    1. I NEED a huge library that's the size of an actual library, Jan! (lol) That's great that you can recycle a few so you get more room as needed. Hugs...

  9. Oh these type of rooms make me drool. I have bookshelves on all three floors and no dedicated library. When we retire and move into a one story, my husband has promised me a library. I fully intend to hold him to it!

  10. I don't have nearly enough book space. I love some of those rooms- wow! I love that first loft one and the reading nook one too- but I'd take any of them...

    1. Hey Greg - I'm behind with this post for some reason, and so sorry! Like you, I'd love to have someone build me any of these libraries, but I like anything that's circular, I think. Hope your week is fab!

  12. I love how people have used their living space so creatively. I try to convince myself that if I have too many for the shelves that I need to weed through what I have, but then I really can't make myself give so many away. :) Those are great shelf ideas.

And thanks for sharing about the freebies and jobs. Aldi's sounds like a great family-friendly job since it closes for the holidays.

    1. I'm like you Sophia and have a hard time giving things away unless I have duplicates. Even if something has been on my pile for years, it's just too dang hard to part with. (lol) Hugs...

  13. I have a broken treadmill I'm trying to get someone to taken away and my husband wants to put a desk for me there (even though I never work at a desk!). I just want a bookcase...bookcases everywhere! I don't have a huge # of paper books--most of mine are on my Kindle. But I want somewhere to store copies of my own books, plus signed books.

    1. Your hubby sounds adorable! (lol) That's pretty interesting that you don't work at a desk. I'd love to be a fly on the wall for just one day at your house. (lol) I'd love to have bookcases everywhere too! Hugs...

  14. I'm a sucker for a big bookshelf full of books. And I have way too many as it is, as evidence. So now I just collect books on my Kindle. It's more economical, sure, but WAY less satisfying.

    1. A lot of my blogging friends are definitely more committed to reading their novels online these days, but I still have to have a book in my hand for some strange reason. You're absolutely correct though. It sure is cheaper to do it on Kindle! (lol) Hugs...

  15. I always wanted a library and enough books to fill one. I got pretty close in the last house I lived in, but of course I moved and had to move 100s of my books with me. I love all of these creative bookshelves. Especially the one with the comfy window seat.

    1. Over the years, my pile keeps growing and growing, and my books need their own space. Aren't some of these pretty amazing? Hugs...

  16. I feel you with the space, I hate it but I ended up having to give away a bin of books beause it won' fit on my shelves anymore. On the flip side, it justifies me buying more books. Lol

Aldi has some really great benefits too aside from the competitive pay. I heard their health insurance package is fantastic.

    1. Yay to justification for more books. I don't give away a book unless I have a duplicate. Just too dang traumatic for me! (lol) I agree, Aldi's seems to be better than a lot of other grocery stores when it comes to staffing. Hugs...

  17. I have a couple of bookshelves that house my paperbacks and hardcopies, but I nothing as amazing as the ones that are shown here But still I am pretty happy with my bookshelves, although I am slowly running out of shelf space. It's amazing to see all those bookshelf pictures!

  18. I was diagnosed as HEPATITIS B carrier in 2013 with fibrosis of the
liver already present. I started on antiviral medications which
reduced the viral load initially. After a couple of years the virus
became resistant. I started on HEPATITIS B Herbal treatment from
ULTIMATE LIFE CLINIC (www.ultimatelifeclinic.com) in March, 2020. Their
treatment totally reversed the virus. I did another blood test after
the 6 months long treatment and tested negative to the virus. Amazing
treatment! This treatment is a breakthrough for all HBV carriers.
