JUST SOME RANDOM STUFF

What is going on these days, Blogger Buds? I don't know or even remember what in the heck I've been doing, but it sure hasn't been blogging(lol)  I had to end a friendship with someone when he casually mentioned that "he could take my ***t anytime he wanted". I won't bore you with my response or my feelings on verbal abuse when he "apologized" by saying it was just a joke. Ain't nobody got time for that!

Moving on, I should mention that YouTube is perfect for FREE exercising, and I decided to go old school with Jane Fonda and Kendall Hogan from Exercise TV. Without changing any of my eating habits, or giving up my cheeseburgers, managed to lose 19 pounds in just a month.

I can feel all those congratulatory air pats on my back right now, and I thank you.(lol)

Here's a secret that's not well known.  You can sell your merchandise on the Walmart website, marketplace.walmart.com  AND because they've partnered up with THREDUP you can purchase discounted pre-owned designer clothing  too!  Pre-Owned - Walmart.com

If you're an eBay shopper and want to save even more money, visit www.nobids.net/no-bid-search, then select your country and do a search for what you want.  You'll find all the listings that no one has bid on, or bids that are ending soon, allowing you to get the best deal possible.

Did you know that I Love Lucy started in 1951 and ended in 1957?  We still enjoy the very funny reruns on some CBS.com, the Hulu Network, Hallmark Channel,  and MeTV.   My favorite episode was The Candy Factory, and I still laugh at this today.  We know Lucille Ball as being this really funny lady, but she also spent time contributing to the women's movement and was vocal in her support of gay rights.

Sadly, Lucy and Desi's  only great granddaughter Desiree Anzalone died of stage 4 breast cancer at just 31 in Connecticut on September 27, 2020.  Lucy died of an ruptured abdominal aorta  in 1989 when she was 77,  and Desi died from lung cancer in 1986.

If you're not taking medication for hypertension, researchers say that eating just one grapefruit each day will cut your food cravings by 45% AND you can get rid of 12 pounds in a year!

Are you that person who's always eager to hook up family members and friends with that "perfect" date, and they dread it when you call?  If so, now you can actually get paid to work with strangers and leave your friends alone!(lol)  Go ahead and apply to be a matchmaker  at https://www.tawkify.com/apply/

Everybody's taking pictures these days from their phones or cameras, so why not get paid, right?  A great site to try that's super easy is https://www.eyeem.com/sell-your-photos.

Did you know that 4 teams in the NFL franchise have never played in the Super Bowl?  The Detroit Lions, Houston Texans, Cleveland Browns, and the Jacksonville Jaguars have gone into the history books.

Were you aware that Walt Disney dropped out of high school when he was 16 and tried to join the Army.  When they rejected him for being too young, he ended up getting a job as as ambulance driver.

Would you visit Mortimer at Disney World?  Thank Walt's wife, Lillian for changing the name to who we all now know and love as Mickey Mouse.

Potatoes may show up on Idaho license plates, but did you know that they're not native to the state?  Idaho is actually home to 75% of the United State's trout, and having it fried is considered their signature dish.

Get Netflix for FREE by signing up for 15 or 30 days, or if you have T-Mobile, get the Magenta Family Plan and it's included. Then call your best friend or watch some of these programs by yourself to take your mind off everything that's going on in the world right now. Don't forget to unplug when you can.

  2. I'm all for exercising, but in my case it does nothing to weightloss. I have to watch my diet and sleep the 7-8 hours daily. They say running helps, but at my age, perhaps at any age ,it's risky.

  3. Congrats on the 19lbs loss. I found them!
I am not clear as to what this"friend" said but I understand walking away from a toxic relationship or if you tell them and they still don't get it, to walk away. I've done that a lot in the last 10 yrs. I don't have time for the toxic.
I watched an I Love Lucy the other day. Desi put Lucy over her knee and smack her ass because she was a bad wife, didn't listen and do as told. I don't recall those and I saw 2 of them in the same week. WOW, 60+ years ago this was considered a normal thing. Wow is all I can say.

    1. Making a nasty comment like that was crazy, and definitely no need for toxic or abusive peeps. I lost all respect for Desi because he was a serial cheater, and she said her marriage was a nightmare when she filed for divorce. Always love when you stop by 💕

  4. It's sad when one has to end a relationship, but sometimes it would just feel wrong to continue it. Sometimes you realize it never was what you thought it was.

Congratulations on the weight loss. That's quite an accomplishment, however you do it.

I'll have to look into the grapefruit thing.

I would never be any good as a matchmaker. It's hard enough finding the right person for oneself, never mind someone else.

Potatoes originated in Peru, so it stands to reason they're not native to Idaho.

That's quite a fierce pumpkin. I assume the honkin' huge spider has mistaken it for Mike Pence and is looking for the fly.

    1. As you know, I'm a champion for the domestic violence or any type of abuse, so when I see it or experience it, it has to be called out, and you're right it's best to move on when it isn't what we thought. It was more fun than I thought because they are interesting and easier cardio, but still fat burning. It was even better because I didn't really change my eating habits that much, just upped my activity. I'm not sure I'd be good at matchmaking either. I think there's a certain art to it. My granddaughter is artsy and loves this time of year so much. That spider sure was an unexpected surprise(lol) Hugs, RI

    2. It's actually been the other way around for me -- cutting out all the animal stuff and junk food was easier than spending a lot of time on exercise would have been, and I find I don't miss them. But whatever works for each person.

  9. Good for you for losing all that weight. I think I got it, though. I can't seem to stop stuffing my face. Recently, it's been green bean casserole. The beans are ok, but the cream soup and onions put it over the top.

Also glad you got rid of a very toxic former friend. There's no time for that in this lifetime, especially when the world (mostly our country) is going to Hades in a hand basket.

You sure LOVE your football. I like it, too, but I'm not a super fan like you. Basketball is MY thing. I miss it already. Too bad so many players are coming down with COVID, though.

I always love seeing your planners. They are always fun to see how you decorate them. They put mine to shame.

Hope all is well in your world, dear friend. Wish I could come and give you a big hug right now. I think you need it.

    1. That bean casserole sure sounds good, and reminds me of how I'm supposed to be eating a lot more veggies(lol) without the cream soup, of course. I'm very tolerant of many, many things, but as you mentioned, the toxicity was just too much. I do love my football(lol), but I did manage to watch a few of the basketball games too. I love how they focused on staying healthy and minimizing contact outside of the bubble. Unfortunately, the NFL wasn't as strict as they should have been, causing lots of cancellations and rescheduling. Having planners and looking at planners and calendars of others really soothes me quite a bit. Some of the art that people come up with is so fascinating and lovely. Please send me all the hugs you have. Nothing wrong with warm and fuzziness from friends, and you're the best! Ro

    1. I'm mostly tolerant of a lot of things because I'm old school and a tomboy from back in the day, but as you know I draw the line at cruelty, verbal or physical abuse and unkindness. Kudos on your weight loss too! 30 pounds is pretty phenomenal. By the way, I love the things that come from your head and end up on paper - always funny! Hugs, RO

  40. Well done on the exercise and weight loss! And I'm sorry you had to end a friendship. That's always sad, even when you know it's for the right reasons. But you don't need someone in your life who is verbally abusive.

  41. Sounds like you did the right thing getting rid of that person from your life! Way to go with your exercise plan and changes to your diet. I remember Jane Fonda workouts from the 80s. And those outfits!:)

I agree that we should all spread kindness. The world really could be a better and happier place if everyone did a couple extra nice things a day. We can try!

    Have a lovely week!

    1. Considering I didn't change my eating habits at all, I was super surprised at the changes and weight loss. Both Jane Fonda and Kendall give music driven workouts which pumped me up and made it more fun to do the exercises. Nothing was too rough. I'll never be in tip top shape like I was in the USAF, but I can sort of get a little tiny bit closer to being a hottie(lol) Thanks for stopping by and hope you guys have an amazing week! Hugs, RO

    1. I have a story for just about anything(lol), so you know I have one for matchmaking too! I tried to match up this guy with a really good friend of mine when we were younger. I thought it was probably better for them to meet and hang out at my place. Leslie tried to be polite and gracious, but this guy was not communicating much at all. About 15 minutes later he said he needed to go to the store to get cigarettes, and of course never returned. We were heartbroken - not!(lol) Clearly, I'm no matchmaker and need to leave it to the experts. Hugs, RO

Are you noticing a pattern yet, Super Sandra?(lol) When I should be out for more than 15 minutes, it's much more interesting to watch television.(lol) Thankful Thursday to you and lots of air hugs, RO
