A Facebook friend shared this post from another group and it got me to thinking, "Would you bother to respond to an ex-husband, ex-wife, ex-boyfriend/girlfriend if they texted you out of the blue to say hello, or to ask you what you're doing?"Looking at all of the messages on Facebook regarding this subject makes it appear that it's a definite NO! (lol)In fact, the image below reflects an actual text from a Facebook user.
But what about you? What would you say if you did respond? Would you take their initial text as an open door to renew the relationship? Would you pick up the phone to call back instead?
Wow this is a loaded question and issue. Well yes you have history together, the question that should be answered is - what good will or can come from a response, positive or negative. Secondly, the question would be - why do I or don't I want to contact them? If neither of these answers aren't going to benefit you or even them in a positive way, I would say don't communicate back
