1/2 Cup Honey
1/2 Tsp Lemon Juice
1/4 Tsp Vanilla Extract
1/4 Tsp Cinnamon
3 Tbsp Unsalted Butter
3 McIntosh or Granny Smith Apples, peeled, cored and sliced
1 Pint Vanilla Ice Cream
Bring the honey, lemon juice, vanilla, cinnamon, 2 Tbsp butter and 1/4 cup of water to a boil in a skillet over medium-high heat, stirring. Put in the apples and keep stirring, reducing to medium heat. Continue to cook until thickened, about 7 minutes.
Transfer to a bowl and stir in the remaining 1 Tbsp butter. Let this cool for about ten minutes, then divide the ice cream among 6 bowls, topping with the apple mixture and you're ready to dazzle friends and family.
