DESCRIBE YOUR BLOG IN JUST 7 WORDS & SOME OTHER STUFF

Lissa is the person who designed my header, which I love, and annually she celebrates her blogiversary with a contest that she thinks no one pays attention to. (lol)

So she has no idea that I decided to share her contest, which actually provides a ton of options for prizes if you win.

The question of the day is, can you describe your blog in just 7 words?  I had a hard time.(lol)

SHANIA TWAIN
Born in Canada, popular country music star Shania Twain released her 1st album in 1993, and is one of the best selling artists of all times. Not many people know that she actually paid for personal singing lessons by cleaning her vocal coach's home.

JANE AUSTEN
There's lots of talk about royalty these days, but did you know that Kate Middleton is actually related to the great writer Jane Austen?
They are 11th cousins.

LA TROPICANA
Try this sexy take on the old mimosa by using sparkling wine instead, along with mango juice and fresh raspberries. Then add a raspberry garnish to show off.

You can also use grapefruit or pineapples for something uniqueParade Magazine

RELATIONSHIPS
While I talk about domestic violence quite a bit on this blog, I don't always mention the importance of counseling, which is more about helping the survivor get back to being the person they were.

However for those not in an abusive environment, sometimes the relationship needs help from an unbiased individual.  Online therapy can help with communication or trying to get things back on track, and it's less expensive than you may think.  It can be done individually or as a couple.  If this is something you'd be interested in,  https://www.regain.us/  is a great place to start.  They've also received a 4 out of 5 review for their work.

Now is the time

  1. I did not know about the Middleton woman being related to Austin and I only like one Shania Twain song. Is she related to Mark Twain? I'll have a go at the competition.

I used to sing in several bands, so music has always been a part of my life, so I'm that person who listens to almost anything including Harry Connick, show tunes, country, gospel, jazz, R & B, pop, and rock. When I'm driving, the radio is always on listening for the next hit. I suspect your bubble is way bigger than you're telling. (lol) Hugs...RO

  20. I'm 10th cousins with Obama, and certainly descended (virtually mathematically impossible not to be) from King John, Henry II, Empress Matilda, Henry I, William the Conqueror, Charlemagne, Hugh Capet. Probably descended from Henry III to Edward III. We're all more related than we realize.

My blog is anything I want it.

    1. What in the heck Adam?(lol) That's a lot of famous people to be related to, and very fascinating!!!! You make me want to do some research on my family tree. What a perfect way to describe your blog and I love it! (lol) Hugs...RO

      Delete
    2. It's more math that research. Records get really blurry once you get past 1700 unless your line was purely aristocratic/royal and not splintered by marrying into more common family or being the offspring of a bastard.

30 generations back, you have over 1 billion possible ancestors. That was roughly around the year 1100, and England's population was pretty small back then.

      Delete
    3. This is the kind of stuff that really intrigues me and makes me want to know more. I had no idea how the genealogy thing worked and the massive numbers involved Over 1 billion sounds like so much! The thought that these numbers could include some aristocracy somewhere along the line is very cool, and I plan to do some checking. Knowledge like this is priceless, and I thank you! Hugs...RO
