Receiving a smile from a friend or stranger is always free, but if you have a little bit of time and a computer, you can get other things for next to nothing as well.  Start by being a loyal follower of your favorite brands on Facebook.  If you LIKE their page, the opportunities for samples of new products or high value coupons are endless.

Watch Twitter for last minute and limited time sales with your favorite airlines.  Even better - sign up for e-mail from Trip Twit which follows tweets from travel deal alerts.

Keep on the lookout for unexpected fees for luggage, etc., on your flight by checking out and wil let you know if your airfare changes after you book it, as well as letting you know if you're eligible for a refund, according to budgeting expert Andrea Woroch.

If you're going to another state or country, save plenty of cash by using, so you can simply switch houses.  How neat is that?  There is $120.00 annual fee, however.
