DIRECTIONS
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Warm oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Cook until no longer pink, for about 5-6 minutes. Let it rest for 5 minutes, then cut into pieces. If using chicken that's already been prepared, just quickly warm up as needed.
Add the pasta to the boiling salted water and cook until done, for about 11 minutes or as the directions say. Drain well, then return to pot and add the pesto. Add chicken and red peppers. Toss and season with salt, pepper and red pepper flakes. When ready to serve, add the grated Parmesan.

JUST ONE MORE THING
The other day I visited a blog where someone innocently asked a question about a topic, and within seconds all hell broke loose on that site. The cruel comments were batted back and forth like tennis balls and no one thought about letting up. Needless to say, the administrator kicked off both people and they were blocked. A few followers moved on as well due to the drama. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but when character assassination rears its ugly head, that seems like a little too much. What I hope would happen is that even though this is an on-line relationship, those two could reconnect to apologize, agreeing to disagree, but I'm not sure that may ever come to fruition. Has this ever happened on your blog? How was it handled?
Makes me wonder what the topic was about. I'm all for discussion, but let's all try to keep our tempers in check, hmm?
ReplyDeleteAnyway, this sounds like a good idea for dinner tonight!
Hey there Joyous Joy and sorry for the delay in responding. The topic was about a menage novel. I hear you on discussing everything calmly on-line, Hugs...
DeleteThat pasta recipe looks delicious! I love anything with roasted red peppers.I'm quite sad I don't live near a Carlie C's. Meat is definitely the high dollar item on my grocery list and I'm always looking for sales!
ReplyDeleteI've never (thankfully) had a situation like the one you described and I'm not quite sure what I'd do if it happened. The worst thing I've ever had was an author left a fairly sharp comment about a review that had a negative comment in an otherwise positive review. I've avoided blog tours with that author ever since!
I love pasta in so many ways! Meat can be as high as I don't what these days. I've never had it happen here on this blog, but I see it often in Social Media. Because I sometimes guest post in other places, there have been times when someone attacked me personally, and just took a deep breath, responded professionally and kept it moving. (lol)
DeleteYummy, RO!!! I will try this recipe for sure.
ReplyDeleteMy heart goes out to those two and others who have had the same or similar situations.
I have had problems, too, as you are aware of and it is heartbreaking when there are those who believe...their way is the only way. My problems were not quite the same but I do not need someone telling me who I should be.
I love blogging but I almost gave it up. Thankfully I did not~
Big Hugs
Jan
I'm thrilled that you decided to stay with it, because you have an awesome blog that I enjoy. We all need to be who we want without repercussion for sure, Jan. Hope you try the recipe and let us know all about it! Hugs...
DeleteThis sounds good! Yet another use for leftover roasted chicken :)
ReplyDeleteLol! That;s so true Braine. Tons of recipes for chicken it seems. Hugs...
DeleteI don't usually like leftover chicken esp when it's rotisserie or barbecue. the meat gets tough when I reheat it, and maybe it's just me, but there's a weird aftertaste to it too. I think this can work because the chicken is in cut in small pieces.
DeleteI see that on Facebook all the time--someone will post a question about some topic and it will get UGLY in the contents. In the cases I see, though, the questions aren't innocent. Today there was one about abortion that, of course, started a bunch of comment-fighting. I think some people just like to stir things up, then sit back and watch the action.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness Stephanie: I have seen some truly hateful things said on Facebook and it makes me fear for the safety of a few people who have been attacked. Crazy situation. I wouldn't be surprised if people liked to stir it up and just sit back,
DeleteOh that really sounds tasty.
ReplyDeleteThe only time I ever had problems on my blog was a couple of years ago when my half brother was stalking me after I stopped talking with him for being abusive and giving away our moms dog after she passed away. He caused a lot of drama on my blog but I just erased all his comments.
Yes, that's probably the best way to cope with the mean comments, then you don't have to worry about even seeing them on a daily basis. Glad things are better! Hugs...
DeleteLove that recipe! I think it's a great compliment to a Labor Day picnic. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, Angela! Hugs...
DeleteI love both chicken and pasta, Ro, and I just may try this recipe. It's always nice to make things a little differently so we don't get sick of eating the same thing all the time.
ReplyDeleteI haven't had any kind of drama on my blog, thank goodness! I think it shouldn't be too difficult to just agree to disagree - we can't all agree on everything anyway, but often, it's still interesting to discuss subjects.
Have a wonderful Wednesday, Ro :)
Lexxie @ (un)Conventional Bookviews
I love chicken as long as it's not barbequed. (lol) I'm like you and want to try new things to shake it up a little when possible. I like that we may not all agree, as well, Lexxie because it makes it interesting, but the mean comments are just too much! Hope all is well!
DeleteTHAT CHICKEN RECIPE THOUGH! It looks awesome Ro! You going to make it? And the best part is that it looks super quick and easy to make. :) as far as bullying and leaving bad comments on my site? Ehhh, as of yet no one has but *knocks on le piece of wood* I would hope it never happens and if it was to happen, I would just handle it by killing it with kindest you know? That's why I'm nice all the time to everyone because I believe you should GIVE respect in order to RECEIVE it. :) happy week Ro Ro!:)
ReplyDeleteIf a recipe is super simple, I'm all in! Your blog is always fun and perky so if someone posted something crazy, I imagine there would be an uproar! (lol) True - it's all about respect for sure. Hugs...
DeleteLove the recipe, and I am sadden by what you witnessed. We all have opinions but there is no reason not to civil and respect that others are entitled to opinions.
ReplyDeleteSuper simple and love it, Kim. Crazy that everyone can't voice an opinion without getting personal and mean. Hugs...
DeleteLOL you have me curious about the topic that came up too. Goodness. People can be crazy some days. I've had a few heated arguments pop up (usually on the FB page) but nothing too far out of line and ended okay thank goodness.
ReplyDeleteThe topic was about a Menage novel that shall remain unnamed, (lol) It turned into a real fight fest that turned from the book to real relationships, and cheating, and an attack on the author. Crazy!
DeleteLooks tasty!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLuckily I have never experianced anything like that on my blog in the 4 years I have been posting.
Hope you have a great weekend,
Shannon
Hey There Shannon! Your blog is pretty awesome and hope you get to try the recipe! Hugs...
DeleteYummmy! Love those types of recipes:)
ReplyDeletelove the receipe and I think I have one gfit card I haven't used, may have to check this granny.com out. Never had a siuation like that before but I don't understand how folks get to crazy for a book, fictional characters. It never ceases to amazing me, smh. Becuase it's really not that serious, it's just not, lols.
