The Week
No, these are not my nails. (lol) Leave that up to the nail gurus, Anna at Herding Cats and Genique with Jamberry Nails. |
Nope! This will not be happening at my house this July 4. Will just end up burned or smoky. |
Yep! It's 4th of July and everyone is talking about fireworks, grills and the beach. If you've been on this blog, you probably already know that i'm no fan of food cooked on the grill and barbecue sauce sucks.(lol) But I still get caught up in the excitement of everyone who has plans to cook food on the grill. I would have loved to work on my tan by visiting a beach, but looks like that may have to wait a little while. If you're doing your own fireworks, please be careful, and for those who plan to hang out at parks for fireworks tonight, we hope you take lots of pics and tell us all about it!
I'm taking a breather to watch Dark Matter on SyFy, while eating a cheeseburger, with kale salad and drinking an ice cold cup of Chocolate Chip Mocha Frappuccino. Need to finish a few library books, but somewhere in there I must take a nap. Smooth sailing Saturday!
JUST ONE MORE THING
If you subscribe to cable or satellite, be sure to watch the new FYI reality series Seven Year Switch, on July 7 at 9pm, or not. This show focuses on four couples with marital problems who temporarily split up – living with and sleeping with a new partner.
One word my friends - WTF?? What are your thoughts?
One word my friends - WTF?? What are your thoughts?
Ok, couples who are having marital problems and they go sleep with other people in what, the hopes that it will fix their problems? May as well call a divorce lawyer right now. smh
ReplyDeleteI do love a good shake. Happy 4th of July.
I know, right Mary? I know everyone needs to make a living, hence putting a program like this on tv, but this just sounds like a recipe for disaster. Shakes rule! Hugs...
DeleteOh my gosh. I love those nails!! I've not done mine in about a month because my nails needed a bit of a break but man I want to do them like that now! lol
ReplyDeleteYum on the shakes. I have a bunch of frozen fruit in the freezer that I might have to whip into something this next week :D
Hope you're having a great 4th, Ro! And staying safe. The storms just hit here and wow it got dark!
Nails are great! I have neither the talent nor patience to get them to look like that! I just picked up some yummy fruit, too and this is fab! Hope your day was relaxing yesterday. Hugs...
DeleteYay:D I've brought you to the Dark Matter Side!:D You must let me know what you think once you finish! Happy fourth to you as well miss Ro<3 I hope you have a fantastic day, don't worry I don't grill either. lol. Mmm! Icecream is fantastic, all awesome recipes you have listed, but nothing beats a good old waffle cone with chocolate chip cookie dough:D Hugs!
ReplyDeleteYou love cookie dough too?! Awesome! That flavor totally rocks. The blizzard they do at Dairy Queen is to die for. Your birthday is this month, right? What day? My goodness, I really enjoyed Dark Matters way more than I thought I would, so I'm glad you mentioned it on your blog to give me a heads up! Hugs...
DeleteYummy shake ideas!
ReplyDeleteThat's hilarious about the restaurant in Dallas.
I'm thinking along Mary's lines about that marital fix idea.
Happy 4th! Even if your food is all cooked inside. ;)
I know, right? (lol) They just opened in May, so I'm curious how they're doing. Uh...I'm in agreement with you and Mary. Don't think that's a marital fix. In fact, I'd be more likely to say that may be called "swinging",(lol) but hey, I'm no expert. Hugs and happy Sunday!
DeleteThanks for the recipes!
ReplyDeleteYou're quite welcome! Another reason to eat some yummy ice cream! Hugs...
DeleteYummmmyyy shakes... Lovely recipie <3 :) :)
ReplyDeleteHey There Himali! This is a totally yummy one! Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs...Ro
DeleteOooh, those shakes look delicious! My daughter has been making me smoothies with fresh berries, ice, and plain greek yogurt (and sometimes a touch of honey if the yogurt is too tart.) Yummy, and a good way to get some healthy antioxidants and probiotics!
ReplyDeleteMy reaction to Seven Year Switch: what the....??!!! Seriously? They think sanctioned cheating is a way to solve their problems? Sorry, no. Look, I get that not all marriages work out, but this is a surefire way to destroy a marriage in my opinion. If you want to try to save your marriage, both partners should go to counseling and really commit to making it work.
What a wonderful daughter! Is she traveling to NC any time soon? (lol) I totally agree with you! I know networks need to generate revenue, but where in the world do we draw the line when it comes to morality? This is a nightmare waiting to happen. Haven't seen it yet, and wonder if it's already been cancelled before it got started? Hugs...
DeleteOh my goodness every time I stop by I get a case of munchies. I so need a berry smoothie in my life ASAP
ReplyDeleteHey Sarah - sure hope you've been feeling okay lately. Yes, sweet treats have been calling my name lately, too! Hugs...
