IS IT OK TO BE FRIENDS WITH YOUR SPOUSE ON SOCIAL MEDIA?

Let me just throw it out there - my husband and I are not friends on Social Media.  He's tried on several occasions to get my attention via Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, but I'm not going there. (lol)

If you remember from my post, SELFIE ADDICT", hubby happily shares about 13 pictures (or more) of himself daily, (lol) and once I open that door, not only will I see him LIVE and in person,(gorgeous man that he is) but I'll get the extra glory of seeing him splattered all over the universe...again, so uh...I'm going to pass. Also, some of his friends post some really weird stuff on occasion that is truly over the top! Even my son and his fiance, who ironically met on-line, have made a conscious decision to stay away from the Social Media frenzy to maintain peace in their household.

However, I've seen many couples who co-exist nicely via Social Media with the same group of friends and it works.

But I've also witnessed the opposite end of the spectrum where one spouse does something so inappropriate that it ends the relationship.  I think people may get caught up in the moment and forget that "everyone" can see what has been posted, and before you know it, the damage is done.

What about you?  Are you okay being friends with your significant other, or is it a recipe for disaster?

  1. My hubby isn't in to social media, but occasionally shares on Facebook. I wouldn't mind if he engaged more, he can say obscure stuff that only a handful of folks get, but it is all good.

    1. Hey Kim! It's great that your hubby gets on Facebook to share dry humor, which I love. The interaction makes it fun and unique! Hugs...
