TINY, TINY HOMES
The trend to live in tiny homes started in 2003, but everyone is jumping on the bandwagon these days by doing some serious downsizing.  These homes average 300 - 450 square feet, which sounds super small, but when you look at the finished product, it just seems totally amazing that it works.  The builders can fit all sorts of things in those houses.  The cost to build one can start at just $10,000 and go up to much more, depending on your tastes. You can find out more by watching FYI or HGTV. If you had the choice, (and the funds) would you live in a tiny house, a regular home or a mansion?

  1. Oh all that chocolate looks good! I love Tiny House Hunters on HGTV. It's always fun to see how the space is used. However, I have no interest in every living in one! I could see a small house as a weekend house or something but not for regular living. In actuality if budget was no option I think I'd stay right where I am. I love my house, it's location and it has just the right amount of space. Have a great week!

    1. LOL! Something like this can give you a serious sugar rush and jumping off the walls. I was just telling Joy that for people like who tend to have so many books, we can just use that house for storage, right? (lol) I'm with you, but I sure wouldn't mind a mansion for just a little while. (smile) Hugs...

  2. Oh, God. I'm way too claustrophobic to live in a small space. Besides, I need room for my books!

    1. I know, right? (lol) They seem to create a ton of nooks and crannies for storage, but for people like us, that would just be scraping the surface. In fact, why don't we get one of those just to store our books? (lol) I'm so glad to see you back. Your posts always make me smile. BIG Hugs...RO

  3. chocolate i like but only specific kind. I don't really do chocolate drinks/shakes.

Tiny houses is a waste of money. I can see it being beneficial if the cost were considerably lower as the square footage but you have those what a more expensive than a "regular" house. They do great marketing though to convince people they want to buy small while paying high

    1. I'm not a real fan of white chocolate, and I usually like mixing my shakes with stuff😂 It would be rough to stay in something that small because of my books, but those mansions sure look cool! Hugs...

  5. Yum that triple chocolate donut shake sure sounds good! I never would've considered putting donuts in a shake though. I don't have a blender though, so no shakes for me.

Those tiny houses look fun, but I think I prefer a normal sized house as it just seems a tiny house would get a bit cramped. Although with enough windows it might still feel spacey enough.

  6. Oh wow! I felt the sugar kick on that drink from here. Definitely want it (can you tell its a Monday? LOL)

Hmm, small houses seem like a good idea until I glance around me. I live in what's considered a small house and I already don't have room for all my books. ;) I guess if I ever simplify my life... haha!

    1. I have asked myself if I could downsize enough, but I would miss my books too much. The tiny houses do look neat though.

  7. Ro the chocolate looks divine but at over 500 calories I'd have to skip it... yummy though xox

I don't want a mansion... way too big... I'd have to be on my own to live in a tiny house. .. so I'd choose a home right now ♡

    Enjoy your week xox

    1. That many calories does sound wild, right? Because of my books I think I need to stay in a regular home, but hanging out in a mansion sounds totally fine, too. Hugs😀

  8. I love the concept of tiny homes. Then I remember I have a lot of books and I might need a slightly bigger one just to accommodate all of them. Hahaha!

  9. While the tiny homes are cute..I think I would go crazy...unless I ditched the hubby. Yum chocolate is good no matter how you make it!

  10. If I were by myself, a tiny home would be perfect. Working from home, with my husband here sometimes, a larger house is necessary. We moved from a 800 square foot house to a 2100 square foot house last year...so I believe I've done both very recently! The bigger house is better, although there are two bedrooms we keep closed off most of the year. The bad thing about a small house is that when family/friends come to visit, they have to stay in a hotel. Or that can be a GOOD thing, depending on your preferences!

  12. Now you got me craving chocolate, Ro, not nice! ;)
I would love a tiny house set up in a corner of my backyard... where I could escape with all my books when I just need some 'me'-time. They are so cute, and still so very functional.
    I hope you're having a wonderful week!
