Luckily, Anna is not a serial killer or anything crazy like that. But can you imagine following a blogger for years, then meeting that person face to face, only to find out they're nothing like who they are on paper? Suppose he or she is a total ***hole? Wouldn't that be a mess?
Through my love of reading, I met Anna Cade from Herding Cats and Burning Soup, and we've been following each other since 2014. Yep, that's a strange name for a blog, but it definitely speaks to who she is and then some. Well, Anna doesn't burn any soup, (at least that I know of-lol) but she does like trying out new recipes. Uh...she also really rescues a lot of cats, which is super admirable.
The irony is that we live about 25 minutes from each other, which we didn't know initially, and I think that happens with a lot of bloggers. Eventually we did connect in person, and every time we get together, I laugh like a nutty person because she's super funny. Her life adventures are something we can probably videotape and make a ton of money one day. She may be x-rated at times and opinionated, which is why I love her, but most people don't realize that Anna is one of kindest women on the planet.
Just because, she's been known to take people out to dinner at Chili's, or to hang out at a blogger event just to hang out, or to show up at your home with lots of chocolate goodies and over the top stories of her life.
They also may not know how organized she is by actually using an old-fashioned planner. Nope, there's no Google Calendar for her, and I totally agree. Give me my SpongeBob Address/Phone Number Book any day.
Yesterday was Thanksgiving in the US, and I'm grateful for being alive, the love of family, kindness from friends like Tawanna, Kelly, Kelly, Tianni, Mary and Lanie. But I'm also thankful for connecting with a quirky blogger who basically lives right around the corner that I can hang out with on-line and in person, and has these really great ideas. Well, she also shares a lot of pictures that will either have you laughing out loud or blushing, and there's nothing wrong with that. Have you met a blogger you follow? I'd sure love to meet more!
Plenty of Goodies from Anna yesterday. Yay!!!!! |

I haven't met any blogger friends yet but I'd love too... I'm hoping to travel to Europe when Valentina has grown so I can meet many of them. If the current president elect of the US is no longer president I'll go to the US and meet people there. I've connected with people all over the world xox
ReplyDeleteThat would be an amazing trip, and one I'd love to see pics of. Isn't it great to connect with so many neat people? That's how I met you! Hugs...
DeleteWhat a wonderful story. No, I've never had the luck to meet a blogger and find out we were neighbors. That would be a blessing.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness it worked out, and she's really cool. Imagine if it went the other direction, and living practically next door, right? (lol) Hugs...
DeleteAws <3 {tackle hugs} I'm so glad we've gotten to meet up and thank you so much for the Thanksgiving invite (and leftovers noms!). Hope you're having a wonderful rest of the weekend, Ro!
ReplyDeleteGirl, you totally inspired me, so I cleaned the office, grabbed a planner and other fun things and am now ready to tackle this organization thing. Thanks so very much! You're the best. Yay!!!!!
DeleteTen years ago, I was part of the blogging community on MySpace. I met quite a few bloggers then. I was single, though, and had a TON of free time on my hands! I guess I was more adventurous, too. I'm more of an introvert these days.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds really neat. To be honest with you, I'm super shy, and it took a while before I finally gathered the courage to meet Anna. Now that we connected, I'm not as nervous about meeting new people as I have been. Of course, you're on my list to stalk in case I visit Nashville. (lol) Of course I'm dying to try all that hot and spicy chicken, too. *heh* Hugs...
