Then, despite the cashier trying to move things along, he pulled out his phone and scrolled through pictures of his daughter, paying no attention to the growing line of people who were loudly getting pretty fed up while he chatted(lol). After all that - he left the store without her phone number. Yikes!
DO PEOPLE JUDGE YOU BY THE BOOKS ON YOUR SHELVES?

If you would have walked into my home about 35 years ago, you may have been amazed at the massive amount of romance novels on my bookcases, mixed in with a little nonfiction. Fast forward to 2018, and there's good mix of thrillers, erotic romance, nonfiction, and cookbooks on display.
In addition, I carry books everywhere I go. Despite what I read these days, people draw these crazy conclusions about my life. I'm a hermit who never leaves the house, I'm a geek, I want to be a spy, I'm a sex fiend, I don't have time to watch television, I'm a gourmet chef, I must have studied to be a doctor, and goodness knows what else!(lol) To be honest, I just read stuff that I like and find interesting. Do people make assumptions about you based on what you read?
Summer may be almost over, but the temperatures in some places is still pretty brutal, so that's why this hat is a must!
FUN TRIVIA
Technically, Gilligan's Island aired its final episode in September 1967 without being rescued. They made it off the island in 1978, but were stranded again by the end of the show. Then in 1979 on The Castaways of Gilligan's Island, made it off the island again, until they decided to return by choice at the end of that movie. Can you believe that the Coast Guard was regularly contacted to rescue the 7 actors?
Mary Poppins is one those movies I can watch over and over again, but did you know it won 5 Oscars? They include Best Actress, Best Editing, Best Original Score, Best Visual Effects, and Best Original Song(Chim Chim Cher-ee), and is the only Disney movie to have won this many awards. By the way, the remake will be released in theaters on December 19, 2018 with Emily Blunt.
Who comes in second with 3 awards? Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
YUMMY, YUMMY
Did you know that women have more tastebuds than men? According to a Yale study, 35% of women vs 15% men are considered supertasters because they can actually identify sweet, sour or salty flavors better than most other people.

CHOCOLATE STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE - David Venable
INGREDIENTS
- 1package chocolate fudge cake mix
- 3/4cup water
- 1/4cup vegetable oil
- 3egg whites
- 1(6-ounce) container strawberry yogurt
- 2quarts fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1(16-ounces) container whipped cream or fresh whipped cream
- 4ounces mini chocolate chips
DIRECTIONS
Heat the oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a rectangular baking pan
Beat cake mix, water, oil, egg whites, and yogurt in a large bowl on low speed for 30 seconds. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes. Pour into the greased pan. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until cake springs back when touched lightly in the center. Cool completely. Turn cake out onto a cutting board. Cut in half horizontally, and place the bottom layer on a trivet. Frost the cake with whipped cream and then scatter sliced strawberries on top. Place second layer of cake on top and repeat layering with whipped cream and sliced strawberries.
Garnish with a sprinkle of mini chocolate chips on top of the strawberries. Yum!
If you want to cheat, or don't have the time, purchase a chocolate pound cake and cut it into layers instead.

Couple of other shelves l have reference books,
cookery books..though got rid of a lot since l've

I have to be honest here..I~DON'T~READ~BOOKS!

Mary Poppins..Bless! Did you know..That Dick Van Dyke's

Bless him..still alive to..Born 13th December 1925 he's
92 years old...AND..On the 19th of December..a follow up

to frown and only 17 to smile..no one seems to really know...!
I smile/laugh a lot..especially when looking in the mirror...
Always see the funny side..! :0).
Oh! And, l was thinking..if l use twice as many ingredients...
in the strawberry dish..will it come out as 'Strawberry Longcake'.

LOL! When I read the Godfather years ago, I found myself hooked on mafia books for months, and I'd definitely overflowing with reference books too. Didn't know that about Dick Van Dyke, but you're always filled with trivia which I absolutely adore!Interesting about not reading books!!!! Yes to that longcake too!(lol) HUGE Hugs and I'm thrilled to have you hang out for a little bit with me!
DeleteThankyou..l am already enjoying 'hanging'
Deleteout with you here..l just want to assure
you that there is 'no' charge for my comments.
They will be completely honest and free....!!! :).
And if you believe that...! HeHe! Bless!
And..It's nice to read other peoples comments...
Great fun and the humour is very good...I've
had a fair few chuckles..Lovely!

No charge at all my friend(lol), and yes the comments are always so fun to read. Hugs and happy Wednesday to you!
DeleteWonderful and interesting post as always RO.
ReplyDeleteBooks! I see this word and right away my attention is caught! I am a true bibliophile! I love to collect books and yes, I do read them, too! No...I honestly do not believe that anyone could figure me out by what books are on my library shelves. Fiction, non-fiction, travel, paranormal, biographies, how-to, poetry, cooking, crafts, art, new books, old books, used books...well, you get the idea :) Each book represents a piece of who I am. Put them all together and you have me.
Big Hugs RO ❤
I hear you on the need to have books around, and collecting them just seems natural and fun. Lots of books on your shelves it seems, and I'm sure we get to know pieces of you from each! Hope your day is amazing! Hugs...RO
DeleteStopped by your new site and love all the pics of your paintings that you've posted! Hugs and Happy Tuesday! RO
DeleteWe have quite a variety on our bookshelves but we could use more whipped cream!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on that whipped cream!(lol) Hugs...RO
DeleteIf I was on a island like that for years, I would have never gotten on a boat again.
ReplyDeleteI agree, and feel exactly the same way Adam!(lol) Hugs...
DeletePeople are forever judging me based on what I read. If it's YA it's not challenging enough, if it's romance then it's silly and they're always trying to get me to read REAL books lol
ReplyDeleteThat shortcake looks yummy.
Karen @ For What It's Worth
I don't get it either Karen, but we love what we love, right? Hugs and happy Wednesday to you! RO
DeleteI always love these posts.
ReplyDeleteNow lets flash back to when B&N had all those fab book clubs, believe it or not I used to moderate the General Fiction book club for them and let me tell you I had some real book snobs in my group. If you even mentioned Harlequin you were shunned. We always did a group read every couple of months where the author would show up and contribute to the read (I've continued that on my Goodreads club and the fab JT Ellison will be with us in late September for her latest thriller) So one of the books I chose was published by Mira and book snobs aren't always real smart so they didn't realize Mira was an imprint of, that's right, Harlequin. I actually changed some of their attitudes and I lost one member who was insulted that I forced her to read "trash", but she was probably really mad at herself for liking it.
That recipe looks good but I gave up bread and sugar .
Thanks RO xo
Debbie, you're always so supportive and I appreciate you bunches! Talk about a crazy situation to have to cope with in that group, and it makes no sense. Harlequin and Mira are obviously smart enough to be around for years, and continue to bring us fantastic stories. Wonder what that lady who quit is reading these days?(lol) OMG - you're interviewing the great JT Ellison????!!!!! I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to that!! HUGE Hugs...RO
Deletenot only am I interviewing her but my goodreads group is doing a group read of her new thriller Tear Me Apart starting later this month. And I met her in person when she was a brand new author and we've been friends ever since. I LOVE HER!
DeleteVery cool that you guys are friends, and get to do a Group Read. She's really an amazing author! Hugs...and Happy Friday Debbie! RO
DeleteI'm not going to look at that cake, I'm not!!! I have many bookcases filled with a great variety of books, from Harry Potter and Beatrix Potter over thrillers and chillers as well as theological and philosophical books. I don't care what other people think about my reading tastes! Have a great day, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteI have all the Harry Potter books, but I've never read them. I have seen all the movies and have the dvds too. I like to read thrillers and theological books as well. I say that we like what we like when it comes to reading, right? Hugs and Happy Wednesday! RO
DeleteI read everything too!
ReplyDeleteBut being older, and having tried to get rid of excess stuff in our home, I don't have representations of all I have read, on my current shelves.
So if people judged me, by my present book shelves, they'd not get the full picture. :-)
But then, I don't think book shelves, or many other "ways," actually paint the whole picture of a person, anyway.
Keep fingers crossed, that true Autumn, will soon descend on we, who have been 'plunked' back in the heat of summer. Eeeekkkkkkkk!
Don't even talk about the heat, because I'm sure ready for some colorful leaves to blow my way very soon.(lol) Because of a space problem, I've actually had to put many of my treasured books in storage, but they are still close. Hugs...RO
DeleteAnyone who tried to judge me by my books would be confused. Which is probably truer than they realise.
ReplyDeleteHugs.
LOL! Confusion can be a gr4eat conversation starter EC, and awful fun! Hugs...RO
DeleteIronically, I have a mix of everything on in my book case. Thanks for the recipe!
ReplyDeleteWe love our books, right?(lol) The recipe is pretty fantastic for sure, Angela! Hugs...RO
Deletethat poor fella with his phone - I guess these days, people don't take out their wallet and show off their actual photos - I would actually like a guy that old fashion, I just think photos on actual paper are so much nicer to look at.
ReplyDeleteI do sort of judge people by the books they read but I don't see much of people's book shelves these days so I don't really have to judge at all unless I read their blog.
have a lovely day.
I'm with you on that Lissa, and every person I meet these days pulls out the cell phone for pictures.(lol) I like seeing old fashioned pictures, but it seems like that's a thing of the past. Hope your day is wonderful! Hugs...RO
DeleteOMGosh, I want a piece of that chocolate strawberry shortcake...or 2:)
ReplyDeleteYou are indeed:)
Hugs
I actually made this but I did it the lazy way by using a store bought pound cake, and it was still yummy.(lol) Hugs...RO
DeleteI think people do make assumptions based on what we read sometimes, I know in my life people have? Even family members who don't really "get" the sci-fi/ fantasy thing probably think I read "weird" stuff lol. *shrug* what can you do? I collected comics as a kid and my mom thought it was a waste of time, but I learned a lot of big words from comics, among other things!
ReplyDeleteThat hat is humongous!
Gilligan's Island... wow... I remember that show vaguely. Kinda like Happy Days (although that came along later I guess).
When I saw that hat, I was like what a great way to cover up from the sun for sure!. I agree, even after all these years, my family doesn't 'get' my reading tastes. Yes, lots of cool things in comic books for sure. Hope your day is going great! Hugs...RO
DeleteMy Dad still has photo albums and I love looking through it. I think I am judged by the books on my shelf. It’s always surprising but every time people come over they always mentions what books are on my book shelf. Mary Poppins is one of my favorite movies. I’m to surprised at all it’s won so many Awards. Thank you for the tongue diagram. I've never had a chocolate strawberry shortcake
ReplyDeleteThat's cool, and I still have photo albums of myself from when I was a kid that no one really cares to look at these days, Mary.(lol) Books are definitely conversation starters for sure. I love Mary Poppins, and looking forward to the remake in December. Any reason for chocolate is good, right?(lol) Hugs...
DeleteHell yeah people judge you by whats on your shelves.. haha... we are a military family and when we are out of the area and have local new friends house sit I ALWAYS get commentary on my book selection.. usually prefaced by, "I didn't know you were so into..." hahaha... - http://www.domesticgeekgirl.com
ReplyDeleteSo thrilled to hear from you Gingi! You've been very much missed. Being in the military too, I had a male friend who loved to use my romance novels to pick up girls with lines.(lol) It is interesting what people think of our reading habits for sure. Hope your week is fantastic and HUGE Hugs...RO
DeleteMy shelves will have people forming really odd opinions of me, too. Mostly there are mysteries and romance, but its the non-fic that is pretty diverse. LOL
ReplyDeleteFunny about Gillighan's Island being left stranded.
Yummy sounding chocolate strawberry cake.
I didn't realize laughter could deal with that many calories, but a good belly laugh is a work out so why not? LOL
Great post, Radiant Ro!
I can just imagine that you have lots of books to choose from at your house Sophia! Give me any simple reason to burn some calories and I'm all in!(lol) Hugs and Happy Wednesday! RO
DeleteI have more bookcases than I care to admit. I built three of them in my office. One side holds all my math books (YES, I'm a geek), one side holds all my statistics and human factors books (I try to stay current), and one has fiction, mostly mysteries, but some book like Cosmos has found its way into that bookcase, too. I like to read a lot of journals, but I also like to just about anything I can get my hands on.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to see your planner in use. That makes me happy. PLEASE read the first line under "Yummy, Yummy." It doesn't make sense to me.
Mary Poppins is a gem. I was aware of those Oscars. I recently saw a show where Disney told his favorite song from the movie was Feed the Birds.
I had to laugh that people actually thought the actors of Gilligans Island, which I have never seen, BTW, were stranded and needed to be rescued.
I'll share that cake with you, please. And yes, you are sexy and we know it!
YIKES! Thank goodness you actually read my long posts, Elizabeth so I can correct my crazy errors! Now that's super cool to know you have tons of math books hanging around. I was so pleased to be able to use the great stickers you sent, and it was super fun! Let's share some cake and coffee please. By the way, when you can, shoot me an email of the type of coffee you drink. I know you're coffee lover! Hugs....RO
DeleteI always read EVERY word you write. I don't skip words like some people. Although I knew what you meant, I just had to let you know.
DeleteBTW, remember the family who set up a gofundme page for this homeless guy who gave the woman his last $20.00 because she forgot her purse and couldn't pay for her gas? WELL, the husband and wife are now being investigated and today they were served with a search warrant because the homeless man didn't receive the money (a bit over $407, 000.00) others had funded him. Seems the husband and wife have a new car, and have taken expensive vacations where they can't explain how they paid for them. The web site is working on getting the man the money he is owed. The husband and wife's excuse? They were afraid he would buy drugs with the money. No good deed goes unpunished.
BTW, I drink French Roast and I grind it myself. Saved an e-mail, which I hate writing!
LOL! I appreciate so much that you let me know. I'm already working on Christmas gifts and trying to get ideas. I've been watching the news on this every single day, and yesterday they confiscated that BMW that was purchased! The couple texted the man and asked him to get rid of his lawyer, and they would get rid of their lawyers and write him a check. It saddens me that this man may in fact have a drug addition, but the people who donated all that money wanted him to thrive and to have it himself. The couple claim that they were managing the money because he's an addict. I mean who can this man once again be homeless on the streets right now??? This whole thing has me quite upset, and it really saddens me so much! You already know I'll be watching for the outcome.(lol) Sure hope your Friday is as amazing as you are! Hugs...RO
DeleteYes, I have so many books and I'm not scared or ashamed of my reading habits! Or the type of books I read.
ReplyDeleteAs readers we love to read what we like, right? I totally agree! Hugs...RO
DeleteWe went along to a singalong showing of Mary Poppins once. It was great fun, except for one misery in our group who just sat there and frowned. I spy super detective Columbo. I have all sorts of books, but as I now read using an e reader, they don't reflect my current reading at all. Thank you so much for mentioning Gilligan's Island. I now have the theme song running around in my head, and I do not want it there.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like such fun Andrew, and boo for that one person who refused to get on board. Yes, you've spied correctly and found me out for loving the best detective in the world - Lt. Columbo!(lol) I can't do the ereader, but I know it's more convenient for so many these days. That Gilligan melody is contagious, right?(lol) Hugs and Happy Wednesday! RO
DeleteMaybe I judge, most people have such boring stereotypical bookshelves
ReplyDeleteLOL! I've run into a few that I think may have been fakes(lol) Hugs...RO
DeleteI don't know if I'm judged by book shelves, but I know my extended family doesn't understand what they call my addiction to books. But I don't really care, I enjoy reading so I just ignore the remarks. My father in law doesn't even follow me on TH because of all the book stuff that I share and like. O'well. Lol..
ReplyDeleteI hear you on that one Jenea! Blogger friends are much more likely to relate to the books I read, but my family thinks I'm nuts(lol), even though I've been this way since I was a young kid. I mean we're talking over 40 years!(lol) Good for you for reading what you want and doing what you like. You rock! Happy Wednesday and Hugs...RO
DeleteI doubt anyone judges me for the books I read. My daughter likes to borrow my books.
ReplyDeleteLucky you, Mary! My son pretty much ignores everything on my bookcase, and what I read, and he has for several years(lol) He's grown now, but I remember that he absolutely hated when I needed his help with moving them.(lol)
DeleteYour bookcase holdings looks both eclectic and fun:)
ReplyDeleteHope your day was productive and your evening is pleasant.
That's a super small portion, because most are in storage due to a space problem, but I have a few books that could raise an eyebrow or two.(lol) Sure hope you're staying cool these days Super Sandra! Hugs...RO
DeleteI'd like to file a complaint please. I laugh all the time so why aren't I way skinnier? Must be the snacks I eat during the day, huh? haha I'm refusing to let go of summer. I just can't do it. It's still hot out. My hair still frizzes when I walk out there. Therefore, it's summer. No pumpkin anything yet!! Also, you're so kind. Thank you for stopping by to say hello and check on me. It's good to be missed. xoxo
ReplyDeleteElsie
I think both of us need to be filing that same report, because it's definitely not working for me. (lol) I need to let go of the heat and more heat Elsie, and have been asking everyone I know to airmail some snow over this way.(lol) I love your blog and the things you have to say. Always encouraging for sure. Happy weekend to you! RO
DeleteDo you know! I just read books that I like. Reading is so good …
ReplyDeleteWow I like strawberries! Thanks for sharing the recipe.
All the best Jan
PS Happy September to you.
Happy September right back to you Jan! I adore my strawberries and eat them all the time. Like you, I really love my books. Hugs...RO
DeleteI want summer to stay! I could care less what people think, but yes there are people that judge you for what you read. I say, $uck um'
ReplyDeleteI need this heat to go away, please Kimberly.(lol) I've even asked people to airmail some snow this way. I agree, as readers, we love what we love, right? Hugs and Happy Sunday! RO
DeleteI think people assume things about other people all the time. I don't know why? It's none of their business! LOL! You sure do have a big collection of books! Wow! Do, you reread them? I always wondered that? That was weird about the guy in the line up. I didn't know what to think about that? I love Mary Poppins. I don't think I would want a remake! That's one big hat! LOL! Thanks for the recipe! Big Hugs Ro!
ReplyDeleteIt is a shame that people make assumptions without actually knowing a person or asking questions for sure. This collection is very small because I live in a tiny place. Most of my treasures are in storage these days, waiting to win a HUGE house.(lol) There are some books that I definitely re-read, een from many years ago. I love Mary Poppins too, and admit to being curious of how they will redo it. BIG Hugs right back! RO
Deletejust like you i used to read LOTS of romance and my mom was so upset with my obsession
ReplyDeletetime changes our outlook towards life slowly though i still like reading romantic stories as love is most basic ingredient of life which makes life a REAL ACTUAL
glad you shared this mouthwatering recipe!
I still read some romance novels, but I really get a thrill from seeing real life examples of love, like an elderly couple holding hands and being married for 40-50 years. I agree, this recipe is definitely yummy Baili! Happy Tuesday and Hugs...RO
DeleteIf people judge me based on what I read, then I don't really hear about, thank goodness. But yeah, I don't get why people think what a person reads has anything to do with them as a person. I mean, it might show what they find interesting, but that's about it. Reading a lot doesn't mean you do nothing but read. Reading romance doesn't mean you're a ditz or should read "real" books and even reading classics all the time doesn't mean much of anything! LOL
ReplyDelete-Lauren
www.shootingstarsmag.net
You make some really good points, and I agree. We read about what interests us, but I don't think it shapes our characters or anything like that. People also assume that I'll read any type of book, which isn't true because we all have our preferences, I think, Hugs...RO
DeleteI experienced people making assumptions about what I read when I was a kid, and as I mostly read sci fi and fantasy back then, I was very afraid of being labelled the boring nerd. Then I grew up and realised I was a boring nerd and stopped caring. But I've never forgotten those assumptions when I was growing up.
ReplyDeleteI was considered a nerd quite a bit as a kid, but in high school I was surrounded by lots of other readers, so we bonded. I don't think you're a boring nerd at all, but I agree. If people want to waste their time assuming that they think they know who you are, that's their loss. Hugs and thrilled you stopped by! RO
DeleteI've been judged not only by what I read, but even based on the format in which I'm reading it. As a child, I was "weird" for reading so much SFF. As an adult, I've been sneered at for reading romance by both men and women (though more often by men.) I've even had a guy on a plane assume, in a patronizing manner, that I was reading romance because I was reading on my Kindle. As it happened, I was reading an advanced review copy of a historical mystery in order to review it for my blog; that shut him up. But I wish I'd had the courage to say all the things I was thinking: "Why do you assume that a woman reading an ebook is reading romance? Why do you sound so patronizing about women reading romances? Have you ever read one? Is it possible that your opinion of romances might be sexist?" Oh, I was FUMING inside! But I didn't say anything. I still wish I had.
ReplyDeleteOh, and for the record, I read widely: everything from picture books to adult novels, and while I read mostly fantasy, mystery (contemporary and historical), and romance and romantic suspense (contemporary and historical), I also read science fiction, historical fiction, general or literary fiction, and the occasional classic. And my job entails reading scholarly nonfiction books on everything from history to social or political science to science and medicine, analyzing the text, and producing an index for it. So I get really riled up when people make assumptions about my intelligence or interests because of one book they see me reading, or even because of what's on my bookshelves in the public rooms of my house.
That's the pits that you got stuck beside such an ****ole!(lol) Then he had the nerve to look at your ebook, and start a crazy conversation about what he assumed you were reading and why! That's just crazy to me. I don't get why people make all these false assumptions about romance either. It's always cool to hear about other readers who are doing their thing with whatever they're reading, and whatever is on their shelves. HUGE Hugs and Happy Tuesday! RO
DeleteI have hundreds of books that I can't part with even though I won't read most of them again...I read all sorts too, from romantic novels, historical novels, cook books and lately I've been reading a lot of alternative medicine books. I loved Detective Colombo too.
ReplyDeleteThat's so true. I find it hard to part with any of the books in my collection as well. Some I read again, but more often than not, I just love having the books around. Yay for Columbo! Happy Tuesday and Hugs...RO
DeleteThere's always something exciting happening at Walmart isn't there?:)
ReplyDeleteHugs
There are things going on there that are always interesting Super Sandra, and a few give me great topics to discuss.(lol) Hugs...RO
DeleteOh no. I hate when I'm in the cashier queue and some people take long in front of me for no reason.
ReplyDeleteIt didn't bother me that he was taking so long, but the people behind me were loudly angry(lol) Happy Tuesday! RO
DeleteOh I need that dessert in my life! lol
ReplyDelete:facepalm: on not even getting her number. lol
Eh I'm sure people judge me by what I read. I really don't care though :)
I found some really cool desserts at Aldi's the other day, and once again, I'm not supposed to eat any of it(lol). They tried to hide them from me up front in a strange place, but if you go into one near you, there are some great ones to stock up on for the holidays. That was a really, really good looking guy, and his smile was pretty amazing. She wasn't wearing a ring, but I have a sneaky suspicion that she was in a relationship. I'm not judged as much, but as a kid there were a few raised eyebrows and weird comments(lol) At my age, I'm like you and don't really care what people are thinking about my library. Happy Tuesday!
DeleteAnother fun read RO, thank you. Enjoyed seeing your books. My taste has changed over the years. That's a delicious recipe and I did not know that about Yelp. We like to use it when we want to find a new place to eat, not often but it comes in useful.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kudos Denise, and hope all is well with you. I thought that was pretty cool about Yelp too. I'm always searching for ways to make cash - legally(lol) Happy Tuesday and Hugs! RO
DeleteI do think people judge me by the books I read- but I don't care. Like you- I read what I want to read. I go through phases of reading different kinds of book. I read a lot of romance in my 20s- but only read it rarely now. I do love when I see books I might not expect on someone else's shelf- I think it makes them more interesting. :)
ReplyDeleteI can't believe people called the Coast Guard about the Castaways! Wow!
Mary Poppins is one of my favorites.
Have a lovely week!
~Jess
Mary Poppins is definitely a great movie that I've seen often. Looking forward to seeing how they redo it. I agree - that's a perfect way of looking at it. Seeing an interesting book on a shelf is a great conversation starter,Jess, and does make the person more interesting. Happy Tuesday and Hugs! RO
DeleteI think the only time I've really been judged based on what I read is when people see me reading sci fi or fantasy. I've had people imply that I'm weird for liking those genres, but I don't care. As far as I'm concerned, they're the ones missing out if they're not reading, lol.
ReplyDeleteit seems like every genre makes people assume about our characters, romance, sci-fi, BDSM, Westerns, paranormal...the list goes on. Some are fun to hear, but ultimately as readers, we're going to continue to read what we like, right?(lol) And yes, a few people are missing out on lots of treasures. Happy Tuesday and Hugs! RO
DeleteThat's funny about the coastguard and Gilligan Island actors:)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy this lovely day, Rockin Ro.
Hugs
That definitely had me scratching my head and laughing. Hope your day is amazing Super Sandra! Hugs...RO
DeletePoor guy not even getting her number, ha ha!
ReplyDeleteRaindrops of Sapphire
I thought that was the pits too, but I think she was in a relationship, and was trying not to be rude.(lol) Hugs...RO
DeleteI'm sure people judge me all the time when I pull a book out in public. Mainly because I read romance and some of the covers definitely scream ROMANCE NOVEL. LoL
ReplyDeleteI have some erotic novels that have made people look at me with surprise too, (lol) so I can definitely relate Kristin. Hope all is well! Hugs and Happy Tuesday! RO
DeleteI do think people judge you based on what you read but I stopped worrying about it. Let them judge. And I'll go on happily reading whatever my heart desires. :) Thanks for sharing that recipe! It sounds YUMMY!
ReplyDeleteI agree, people are going to do what they want, but I'm still gonna read my books(lol) We can never go wrong with chocolate, right? Happy Tuesday to you Brandee! RO
DeleteVery few people see my bookshelves, but those in the know would likely be impressed by my home library. I have an eclectic collection with a wide range of subject matter. When I visit somebody and I see books on display, that will be one of the first places I take a look at. I enjoy perusing another person's library and what their books can tell be something if not a lot about that person.

Well, now I want to see your bookcases!(lol) I get fascinated by the book choices and find they are conversation starters in many instances. Love meeting other readers for sure! Happy Friday and Hugs! RO
DeleteOur taste buds are amazing aren't they?:)
ReplyDeleteHugs
They sure are, and I can't imagine them not working, can you?(lol) Hugs...RO
DeleteMary Poppins may be my favorite movie of all time. Not sure how I feel about the new one coming out - I haven't decided if I want to see it or not! I also carry a book with me wherever I go - you never know when you'll have a moment to read!
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely a fun movie and I never get tired of watching it. I'm curious to see how it changed, so I think I'll check it out in December and let you know. Hugs and thanks for stopping by to say hello! RO
DeleteWHAT. He tried to impress a girl and didn't even get her number or any way to contact her???
ReplyDeleteI do a lot of my reading on my phone or iPad now, do I'm definitely NOT worried unless someone decides to grab the items and looks at what I'm reading. 😂 Kindle might want a passcode or fingerprint option soon to avoid that. 🤔
He was a really good looking guy with this great smile, and after all that I felt sort of bad for him too. She didn't have a ring, but I had a sneaky suspicion that she was already in a relationship. I know more and more people are using their phones and ereaders, but I still like carrying my books around for some reason. I'm definitely old school. That's a cool idea about the passcode just in case someone goes rogue!(lol) Hugs...RO

ReplyDeleteI`m Christopher Daniel, Please contact this amazing pregnancy spell caster Prophet Abulele Who help my wife to get pregnant, this is his email address ( prophetabulelehealingtemple@gmail.com), So me and my wife have been trying for a baby for the last 6 years now and we have had no luck. My wife don't have a regular cycle so it is hard for her to tell when she's ovulating or not, but we always have sex at least 4 times a week, sometimes more. I know it can take up to a year to conceive but everyone I know who have had a baby have conceived within 2-3months of trying and it is really getting to me. I had a fertility test about a year ago and my sperm were fine. So I was thinking it could be a problem with my wife but she never had any symptoms of any problems. I do smoke and I only drink occasional, and she use to smoke and also have the occasional drink. I know she's slightly overweight but that shouldn't affect her chances too much, one faithful day my friend told me to contact a man called Prophet Abulele that help her aunty get pregnant, then I contact the man on this email:prophetabulelehealingtemple@gmail.com OR WhatsApp him on +2349022406159 and follow his instruction, after three months the doctor confirm that my wife is pregnant thank you Prophet Abulele for helping me get a baby am now a proud father of twins a boy and a girl.
